Amanda Dahmani starting dancing at the age of 7 and has danced ever since. She is a qualified teacher, having passed her exams at the age of 19. She also represented England at Junior Level in Europe. Her passion is dance and as such, she decided to offer her services to Brides and Grooms, to choreograph their first dance, uniquely, in the comfort of their own home.
Amanda offers a free consultation service to establish what the couple would like to achieve and how much time they are willing to put into the training. Also, on the consultation, Amanda will listen to their chosen track and offer advice as to what style of dance will suit and how many lessons they may need. The lessons are then carried out in their own home (where possible) or in a studio, if necessary. It takes roughly 6 lessons to learn the choreography and tuition normally begins around 12 weeks before the big day. This gives them plenty of time to learn, practice and ensure they are not stressed or in a rush to learn as the day draws closer.
Amanda can work with all levels of ability, from couples with two left feet, to those with experience looking for a professional finished product. She has the knack of tailoring her teaching to the needs of her clients, making them feel comfortable and also, in control. She will choreograph a dance that suits both the ability and the personality of the couple, giving them a boost of confidence and support when needed.
One of the most wonderful parts of her service is that it can provide couples not only with something to feel proud about on their big day, but often a hobby for life! Amanda runs Ballroom and Latin classes as well as Salsa classes, and is always welcoming to new couples who, through her first dance tuition, have discovered a new found love for dance and want to continue after the big day is over. In the busy lives that we all lead, dancing is a wonderful opportunity for couples to spend time together, learn something new, have fun and always remember that special moment on their Wedding day.
